Dear Shelton Carpets, 

My husband and I purchased one of your carpets thru the Big Bob's Flooring located in Gloucester, Virginia.  The carpet was installed on December 7th and we were very happy with the carpet and the installers however, something happened to the carpet just a few hours later that I thought you would like to know about....although, I still haven't had the nerve to tell my husband as he was asleep at the time....  My husband had been up well over 24 hrs. and by the grace of God, he was soundly asleep and totally unaware of what unfolded in the livingroom concerning the new carpet, literally only hours old.

Early that evening, I was sitting at the computer when I heard my son (Jason) go to the refrigerator to apparently get something to drink.  He had decided to finish off what was left of a bottle of cranberry juice however....he walked over to me at the computer to see if I wanted it first.  I told him he could have it and as he turned to go back to the kitchen, our Sheltie laid down on the floor in front of him and well, he tripped.  He didn't fall but the cap was off the bottle and much to our horror, juice came flying out of the bottle and landed right in the middle of the carpet.  I stood there shocked looking at bright red cranberry juice on a medium green carpet (Alluring Dream) and I think I literally froze in disbelief.

With my son and I both standing there in shock, I quickly shouted for paper towels and started blotting up the juice, almost in tears.  In amazement, the juice just sat there pooling on top of the carpet and when I hit it with the paper towels, it all soaked up into the paper towels....every single drop of it.  I swear, I sat there blinking thinking my eyes were playing tricks on me...or that the hand of God was helping me get the juice up before his dad saw the mess it made.  Incredibly, and much to my surprise, it all came up and there was absolutely no sign, not a stain, not a drop of juice left....the juice came up not even leaving a discoloration....nothing!

I vaguely remember when we were picking out carpet that the man helping us started talking about the stain resistance of the different carpets we looked at and I have to honestly admit, I let it go over my head, taking it with a grain of salt so to say.  As we looked at the carpet we eventually picked out, he went on to say how nice the carpet was and that it had great stain resistance but honestly, not until I saw it with my own eyes did I grasp the quality he was talking about.  Not in a million years would I think there was a carpet in existence that could resist the stain of cranberry juice...but I did see with my own eyes that the one we purchased did.  Even in the sunlight the next morning, there wasn't a single trace that it had ever happened.

It turned out the next day that my husband was aware that something had happened but he was too tired to get up and find out what the commotion was about.  Good thing for me, he still doesn't know.....but I did tell my son when it was cleaned up and over with that he had used up one of his lives and unless I was asked point blank, his dad would never need to know that he had spilled cranberry juice on a brand new carpet just hours after the installers left.

Anyway, I'm writing you this letter so you can share it with your salesmen.  I confess, I didn't believe all the pitch about the stain resistance of your carpet until I saw the cranberry juice just disappear.  There can't be a stain out there that could be worse and I can say with all honesty, because I saw it happen, that your salesmen are being 100% truthful, this is a great carpet!  I'm so impressed with it that I can assure you, your product will be my first choice for any future purchases.
